About the Fellowship
The William A. Carlson Fellowship Program was established to
recognize the contributions of William A. Carlson, past Executive
Director, of the California Redevelopment Association (CRA).
The Fellowship Program offers students an opportunity to learn about
the field of redevelopment as a career opportunity in the public sector.
Applicants must be interested in a career in the public sector in
Redevelopment, Community Development, Economic Development, Planning,
Housing, or a related field.
Students will be given the opportunity to attend the California
Redevelopment Association’s Annual Conference, March 30-April
1, 2011, in San Jose or one of the Association’s two
Redevelopment Institutes held in May and July at no cost (includes
registration, hotel, travel, and meal expenses).
Who Should Apply
California college students pursuing a graduate degree in Public
Administration, Public Policy, Planning, Real Estate, Urban Studies, or
a related field.
