The mission of the Burbank Redevelopment Agency is to ensure there is a diverse mix of service-enriched housing; foster a climate that generates jobs; and promote economic, social, and environmental sustainability, enhancing the quality of life for the entire community. The Agency will accomplish its mission through various programs and projects. The Agency will work toward identifying and implementing smart development strategies that synergize sustainable development with innovation technologies for new development and redevelopment. The Agency continues to be very active in providing service enriched affordable housing and will pursue its goal to sustain neighborhoods and focus on areas that would most benefit from concentrated efforts. In addition to future acquisition and rehabilitation efforts, the Agency will pursue future home ownership developments and possible transitional housing opportunities. In addition, the Agency will continue infrastructure improvements; exploration of mixed-use development and a focused efforts on the revitalization of Downtown Burbank.
