The Wasco Redevelopment Agency was established to retain additional property taxes to enhance the economic vitality of the community and improve the housing stock for our residents. The Agency focuses primarily upon the low- and moderate-income housing rehabilitation program and marketing the industrial project to industrial and commercial companies. Wasco is experiencing sales tax leakages due to limited commercial businesses in the community. An additional priority for the Agency is attracting commercial businesses to broaden the tax base and provide more shopping choices for our residents to stem the sale tax leakages.
Wasco Redevelopment Agency has been a member of the California Redevelopment Association since 2005.
