The City of Watsonville Redevelopment Agency is governed by the Agency Board and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Watsonville residents. The Agency continues to revitalize Watsonville’s downtown, improve and enhance the industrial and commercial areas, stabilize and revitalize neighborhoods, and provide affordable housing with the goal of building healthy neighborhoods and communities, encouraging economic development and the eradication of blight. Specific activities targeted in the Downtown and Westside Industrial Area include: » Reinforce/Revitalize the Downtown Area–Revitalize and reinforce commercial core of Downtown Area » Business Attraction/Expansion/Retention Activities » Historic Preservation » Interactive Cultural Resources–Expand performing arts and other cultural resources available to Watsonville residents » Public Facilities » Streetscape and Signage Improvements » Public Improvements Program » Auto Center Drive Improvement/Assessment District
