Fountain Valley, CA Industrial Development - Infrastructure Development: City of Fountain Valley
Fountain Valley was incorporated in 1957 as the 21st city in the County of Orange. In August of 1975, Fountain Valley organized its redevelopment body, the Fountain Valley Agency for Community Development. The Agency has since adopted redevelopment plans for two areas, the City Center and the Industrial Area. Together, these areas cover almost 700 acres. Over the past few years, Fountain Valley has seen a significant interest in commercial development and redevelopment with several major projects having been completed. These projects include the Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn, Hyundai Motor America Corporate Headquarters, Costco, Fry’s Electronics and Kingston Technologies. Much of this resurgence can be attributed to local officials, community leaders, and City staff working together. The Agency continues to seek the elimination of blight, improve infrastructure and attract, encourage and faciilitate retail, commercial, and industrial growth.
City of Fountain Valley has been a member of the California Redevelopment Association since
1998.
