TCRA’s Housing Programs within its eight RDAs provide assistance to preserve the inventory of existing homes and create new opportunities through various loan programs, such as Homebuyer Assistance, Housing Rehabilitation, Infill Housing development projects and programs. The Agency’s goals also include assistance to tax credit and other affordable multi-family housing developments and rental rehabilitation projects.
The Economic Development Program promotes industrial/commercial development and provides resources to assist existing businesses to expand, new businesses with site location, and provides assistance to coordinate the permitting process for special use permits. The Microenterprise Program provides training to individuals who either own a business or plan on starting a new business. The program also assists with loans for various business activities.
The Community Improvement Program includes providing financial, technical and administrative assistance to community organizations and public agencies for capital projects such as sewer, water, storm water drainage systems, community centers, recreational facilities and parks, pedestrian safety improvements, graffiti abatement, code enforcement, vocational training programs for youths, and community clean-up events.
