The Novato Redevelopment Agency is active in several areas: * Downtown Redevelopment (317 acre area) that includes main street revitalization, a façade program, retail attraction, business retention/expansion, and infill mixed-use * Military Base Reuse that includes the redevelopment of the former Hamilton Airfield (600 acre area) with over $1.5 billion in private investment, 2,100 new homes, offices, hotel and shopping * Affordable Housing – the only redevelopment agency in California to use 100% of its funds ($35 million) for affordable housing, producing 795 affordable rental and for sale homes.
Novato Redevelopment Agency has been a member of the California Redevelopment Association since 1990.
