The Agency’s primary goals are: * Assist in the development of capital improvements to eliminate blight and encourage new private enterprise investment. * Develop a variety of housing programs and projects to increase, improve and preserve the affordable housing stock. * Effectuate comprehensive planning of project areas in such a manner as to facilitate a higher and better utilization of land uses in accordance with the general plan. * Develop business incentive programs to reconstruct, upgrade and expand commercial areas in conformance with the general plan and community plans. Primary activities include: * Issuance of Recovery Zone Bonds to construct a variety of major infrastructure projects. * Assistant to business expansion and attraction of synergistic enterprise. * Continue to provide business incentives to retain and improve existing businesses. * Continue to provide housing loan and grant programs, including revisions and additions to programs offered.
San Bernardino County Redevelopment Agency has been a member of the California Redevelopment Association since 1991.
