Hemet, CA Retail Development - Downtown: Hemet Redevelopment Agency
The purpose of the Hemet Redevelopment Agency (the “Agency”) is twofold: (1) to promote the economic and physical revitalization of the City’s older commercial, industrial and residential neighborhoods; and (2) to facilitate affordable housing opportunities for the City’s residents.
Focused within three redevelopment project areas, the Agency encourages community revitalization and neighborhood preservation through direct public financial assistance in the restoration of existing structures, the financing and installation of public facilities and infrastructure, and the implementation of plans and programs that stimulate economic growth. Through joint public/private partnerships, the Agency works with individual business operators and commercial and residential property owners by leveraging public monies with private investment for the development, construction and rehabilitation of underutilized properties.
Hemet Redevelopment Agency has been a member of the California Redevelopment Association since
1990.
