Palm Springs, CA Retail Development - Shopping Center: City of Palm Springs
Two Merged Area Districts consisting of ten original redevelopment project areas. Central Business District Constituent Area has become one of the most dynamic Arts and Entertainment Districts in California. Projects include development of new Class A retail space in 2 new large mixed-use projects; redevelopment and remarketing of Desert Fashion Plaza; creation of new parking areas and implementation of parking management plan; and other related streetscape improvements. North Palm Canyon Constituent Area has developed into a vibrant gallery and antique district. Ramon Bogie Constituent Area contains the majority of the City’s industrial land, as well as prime retail sites. Other Project Constituent Areas focus on the improvement of neighborhood shopping centers and other aging properties within the City; expansion of current businesses; and flood control, street and other infrastructure improvement projects. New low- and moderate-income housing development is primarily single-family infill developments.
