Long-term fiscal sustainability; Master plan/redevelopment of Highway 101 ‘downtown’ corridor & plaza; traffic calming & revitalized streetscape development that is pedestrian, bicycle, and business friendly; improvements to transportation circulation and linkages to community parks, schools, beaches, shopping, restaurant, entertainment, retail and art centers; reducing traffic congestion, carbon footprint, energy & water consumption; low-impact development that preserves or enhances community character, the environment and public spaces; Local Coastal Plan finalization & adoption; beach/shoreline preservation, sand replenishment & retention program; developing a vegetation & view ordinance; community center improvements, rehabilitation, and renovation; comprehensive review of General Plan elements; infrastructure capital improvement & maintenance; develop green building initiatives and policies.
