Bellflower, CA Retail Development - Strip Center: City of Bellflower
The Bellflower Redevelopment Agency will carryout the following activities during the 2009-2011 program year:
* Seek commercial development within the 20-acre West Artesia Specific Plan.
* Update Downtown Revitalization Vision Strategy
* Expand the TownCenter Gateway Plaza to the SE corner of Belmont and Bellflower.
* Redevelop 15,000 sq. ft., RDA-owned property into a commercial project at SE Corner of Bellflower Boulevard and Oak.
* Revitalize the old “Green Market” site.
* Establish a Fire Museum and Event Center in downtown
* Acquire and construct a Transit Center north of the downtown with parking and a shuttle connection to the Metro Green Line rail station.
* Complete the Walnut “Live/Work” project, Walnut Street improvements and public parking lot and “Café Camellia” project.
* Seek commercial development and revitalization opportunities along the Lakewood Boulevard commercial corridor.
* Revitalize intersection of Bellflower and Artesia, assembling and redeveloping into viable commercial/retail development.
* Establish a Property Owner’s Association and Eucalyptus Multi-Family Improvement District.
