2011 Regional Briefings

CRA's FREE members-only Regional Briefings take place every fall in a number of locations throughout the state. This year, in order to focus on matters related to the current legal issues and to provide the legal expertise in-person, we are reducing the number of sessions to 4 and holding them in larger venues.

Interim Executive Director Jim Kennedy will be joined by CRA Legislative Counsel Brent Hawkins to fully brief you on the current lawsuit, CRA v. Matosantos, pending in the California Supreme Court, the Court's stay orders and the uncertainty surrounding them, CRA and the League of California Cities' basis for the suit, and the State's counterclaims. CRA Legislative Advocate David Jones will report on the year that was – 2011 - in the California State Legislature as well as provide insights into what to expect in 2012.

Together this team will discuss why and how redevelopment is changing – the new paradigm that is emerging. We will review what CRA has already been doing such as laying the groundwork with the Strategic Plan for Redevelopment. You will learn how you can participate in the transformation. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and share concerns and insights.

We invite you to join us and your colleagues from across your region and the state in this vital conversation.

Registration for these members-only meetings is FREE!
