Eminent Domain Pamphlet

SB 698 which went into effect on January 1, 2008, requires that every property owner who is the subject of an eminent domain action must be given an “informational pamphlet” outlining the property owner’s rights under the Eminent Domain Law of California.

 This pamphlet has been created so it can be customized by redevelopment agencies and other government entities of all types . See the instructions below on how to customize the pamphlet.

Customization instructions:

To modify this document you will use the find and replace feature in Microsoft Word.

OPTION 1

Download the document by clicking here.

Once downloaded, open the document using Microsoft Word.

To replace the Condemning Agency text.

1. Press CRTL+F on your keyboard. Click on the replace tab.
2. In the find what box type "[condemning agency]".
3. In the replace with box type the name of the condemning agency.
4. Click replace all.

To replace the Legislative Body text.

1. Press CRTL+F on your keyboard. Click on the replace tab.
2. In the find what box type "[legislative body]".
3. In the replace with box type the name of the legislative body.
4. Click replace all.

OPTION 2

Send us the name of the condemning agency and the legislative body and we can replace the text for you and send it back ready to use.
